Keep your focus on what it says in
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Some people blame every sin, conflict, and problem on demons that need to be cast out. Other people completely ignore the spiritual aspect and the fact that the Bible tells us our battle is against spiritual powers.
Ephesians 6:10-12 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” God’s armor is what protects us, and our spiritual warfare battle is against spiritual forces of evil in the world that is all around us.
It is only through our relationship with Jesus Christ and our fellows' inspirational encouragement that Christians have any authority over Satan and his demons. It is only in His Name that we have any power.
In Ephesians 6:13-18 gives a description of the spiritual armor God gives us. We are to stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and by praying in the Spirit.
We are to follow Jesus’ example in recognizing that some spiritual victories in our spiritual warfare are only possible through prayer and fasting.
To be victorious in our daily battle with Satan in this world we live in, we
#1 We must rely on God’s power, not our own.
#2 We must realize that we need to rebuke in Jesus’ Name, not our own.
#3 We must protect ourselves with the full armor of God.
#4 We must engage in spiritual warfare with the sword of the Spirit—the Word of God.
#5 We must remember that while we battle spiritual warfare against Satan and his demons, not every sin or problem is connected with a demon that needs to be rebuked.
